Suitecrm Google Calendar Sync Echedule Never
Hello,I use Google's online calendar and tasks on my PC. On my Android phone I use the Google Calendar app and the GTask app. If, on my phone, I add a task to GTask it updates the online Google Tasks and Google Calendar.
The online Google Calendar keeps these tasks in a Calendar named Tasks. However, on my Android phone the Google Calendar app does not have a calendar named Tasks and it does not show any of the tasks input into the GTask app.Is this the way it is with you or, do you somehow get the tasks input into the GTask app in the Google Calendar app and, if you do, what calendar are they in? And, do you know how I can fix my setup? Thanks,Rusty.
Click to expand. Thanks for all the trouble you went to!! I appreciate it. I've been trouble shooting it for days now.
To revert any changes, select the Roll Back Driver button or use Uninstall button to uninstall the driver from your system. To resolve such problem, you can also run System Restore or can also use the Update Driver button to install an updated driver. This error message can help you resolve the issue.
I'd like to find someone who's been using the GTasks app and the Google calendar app and confirm that they have the same problem (yes I see that you did.so no one is using this app combo.no one at all cause it doesn't work?). I'm not giving up yet.I mean come on.NO ONE has a working/sync'ing calendar/task application for Android? It's a pretty basic function.smart phones have been around for a few years now.? Thanks again for your efforts!! Click to expand.I just decided two weeks ago to drop Outlook (plus syncing.net and topsync) which has been the center of our (me and my wife) world since 1992. PLEASE.point me to 'alternatives'!!!
Google seemed like a good choice but I have not switched us from Outlook yet. I've been testing the Google alternative for about 10 days.overall it's okay except for this issue (so far anyway.I haven't looked at the 'Contacts' end of it yet). I don't mind paying (I was paying almost $200 a year for the 3rd party sync applications alone).
The only thing I'm determined to do is find a better solution (and test it for a while before I commit).Rusty;-). The only thing I'm determined to do is find a better solution (and test it for a while before I commit).Rusty;-). I use gtasks and google calendar app and I can confirm tasks do not show up on the calendar app.Two unimportant differences from what was mentioned before:1 - On pc, my tasks show up a little different than yours apparently. Mine show on the side in an area labeled tasks. I gather there may be a setting to move it directly onto the calendar somewhere (that's ok I personally like it where it is)2 - When I open google calendar on android and navigate to hamburger / account name I have a similar listing of items to display like events etc, but no option for google tasks is shown like Earlymon's screenshot. There must be some software version difference or setup difference somehwere. But those differences don't really matter.Everyone agrees (myself included) that there is no capability to display google tasks within android google calendar appThe next best thing IMO (I realize there are different approaches/preferences) - You can create a gtasks scrollable widget on your homescreen.
Choose list: 'all', sort by: 'due date'. Assuming you are caught up to date on your tasks, the things due today are on top of the list (actually the tasks with a time assigned for today are first ordered by time, the tasks with only a date assigned for today come after that). If you want to find things scheduled later than that you can just scroll down to the date/time that you're interested in.For my personal style that works much better. Things that have to happen at an exact time go on the calendar. Things I need to fit into my schedule go in the tasks. Since there tend to be more tasks than appointments, if I cluttered up my calendar with them I'd probably forget a few appointments.By the way, Google tasks only holds a due date. Any time that you assign to a task within gtasks lives within gtasks only (since it does not fit within the google tasks data structure).
Google Calendar Sync Outlook
So the best you could possibly hope for from ANY calendar app that syncs with googlle tasks is to display a list of tasks for the particular date without any sorting by time at all far inferior imo to what you'll get from the gtasks widget that sorts by time imo. I realize I'm late to the game here, but I picked up GTasks not too long ago and was having the same issue. I decided to search on the subject which brought me to this thread.
I couldn't find any way to get it to work with the stock calendar app on my phone or the google calendar itself, so I ended up just using GTasks to view/manage my calendar as well as my tasks. The GTasks widget can also display Calendar entries and Tasks all in one list. I'm sticking with it as it's exactly what I need, and the widget is functional so I can scroll/view all my calendar/task items, and also check-off tasks straight from the widget.
I'm happy. So anyway, I just wanted to add my input in case someone can find it useful because like the OP, I also spent way too much time researching and trying different things to get this to work with the stock calendar and google calendar - all to no avail. In the end, it shouldn't be this difficult or aggravating to get something so simple to work with the stock app or google app.
