Call Of Chernobyl Sell Damaged Weapons
Now on!For those who don't keep up with the Stalker modding scene, Coc is a freeplay sandbox mod for Call of Pripyat. It includes all of the maps from Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Pripyat - the entirety of the zone is at your disposal. You can choose which faction to start as, allowing you to live out your dream of becoming the bandit king of the zone (a nu CHEEKI BREEKI all day, every day). If you don't like the idea of being automatically hostile to every faction in the game, you can even play as an ecologist and hunt artifacts without being shot at by the military - their only enemy is Monolith. The long awaited patch for Call of Chernobyl is finally here. The mod has seen a tremendous amount of growth and change since 1.3.2; we have been working hard this year to bring the stalker community this new content in the form of the 1.4 update.

This patch contains so many changes it would be rather difficult to go through that list here but below is a brief overview.Leaderboard and PDA StatisticsOne of the first things to notice when firing up 1.4 are the changes to the PDA statistics screen. Many new stats are tracked and a portion of screen real estate is now dedicated to the top 100 leaderboard. Climb to the top of the leaderboard by increasing rank in-game and by being the stalker you were always meant to be. Hovering the cursor over other stalkers in the list may bring up their statistics but only after they have been encountered on the same map.
Not only has the statistics screen seen an overhaul, but a new array of achievements have been added.Character Creation and Game ModesIt's now possible to select from a broad array of faction-specific starting location. Additionally, the ability to select a character portrait has been added alongside a new game option to display a portrait that closely matches the equipped outfit. If you thought that was all, we added an optional story mode feature which can be toggled during character creation. It has a light dialog-driven focus and includes multiple endings. The task starts with a simple puzzle to find Doc and takes you on a journey throughout many of the game levels to discover the mysteries of the Zone.A-Life changesUnderground labs have been populated with all sorts of creatures.
Now mutants can only be found during specific times of the day depending on their behavior type. Night predators like Chimeras, cats and snorks can now only be seen at night. Day time mutants like boar and flesh can only be seen during the day. However, these mutants can always be found in underground labs or during tasks regardless of time of day.
Offline A-Life is now much more active and more willing to travel to far off levels. A new game options allows the player to control the population of the Zone, by reducing or increase stalker or mutant spawns based on a multiplier. Online exclusion radius is a feature added to gameplay options that blocks A-Life spawning in the player's immediate area and can be adjusted or disabled.Gameplay changesArtefacts can now degrade when their abilities and bonuses are activated. Degradation decreases the overall impact of both the bonuses and negative effects.
Degradation is communicated in-game through the new Efficiency stat. Degradation promotes further artefact hunting and accumulation. In some cases stashing artefacts might be a wiser decision over cashing them in. Having the best artefacts no longer is the end of the line for artefact hunting.
Artefact bonuses have been slightly boosted to help balance this feature. I would have liked to make protection artefacts give huge boosts to damage types and give them high degradation rates, but since this feature is optional that can't occur. Perhaps addons will expand on this idea further. Now it's possible to visually equip knives, binoculars and grenades directly in the inventory menu. The non-slottable equippable items will be highlighted and will allow the ability to equip/unequip them via the context menu. This feature should open up new addon possibilities like tiered binoculars or new melee weapons.New base defense events have been added to the game.
During late night and early hours of the morning in several faction-specific bases, there is a chance swarms of mutants will attack a base. Furthermore, emissions sometimes cause zombified stalkers and mutants to swarm the bunker leaving it up to you to stop them, optionally with the help of a stationary machine gun on top of the bunker. The arena has returned to Rostok. It is now possible to compete in two different arena types, the one everyone is familiar with from Shadow of Chernobyl and a cut version that exists in build 2571.
Compete to win cash rewards as well as notoriety.Equipment upgrade display has had an overhaul. The display bonuses are now more accurate and based on the real mathematical formulas. This gives a much better sense of what an upgrade is actually going to do. Cut outfit protections, strike and explosion protections have be restored and have been included in many of the existing upgrades. You can now change FOV and Hud FOV directly from game options via a slider instead of using developer console. A slider for Grass Render Distance is now available in the advanced video options. For a full list of changes, see the.Happy Anniversary Call of Chernobyl! It's one year since we released Call of Chernobyl publicly as version 1.2. Thanks guys for all the support and making Call of Chernobyl one of the best mods for Call of Pripyat! Started a new game as an Ecologist and found myself stationed in Yantar.
I decided to trek down to the cordon and see how the map had changed as well as take a few missions to grab some cash. I was asked to hunt down some mutants, and when Sidorovich pointed out the location I remembered there being a dozen or so fleshes and boars in the area. Not to difficult - I didn't have any ammo for my AKM, but the knife is powerful enough to make short work of them if you know what you're doing. Trekking back over to complete the mission, I arrived at midnight to find it suspiciously mutant-free. Suddenly, bloodsuckers.
LOST TO THE ZONE. Click to expand.I can answer this one I was looking into call of pripyat mods recently and looked into this gem of a mod.Ok so base call of chernobyl is basically just the sandbox mentioned in the OP with some minor changes like the leader board.Actually the OP has the list of most of the big changes right in it.basically you have access to every zone from every game and a endless supply of missions from the various contacts and what you can think up yourself like artifact hunting. There is also faction warring in the mod.(missions may not be endless but you at least have basically every vanilla mission from every game.)The thing is that this thing was designed from the ground up to be really friendly to modders and a modders resource so what it does have is a large number of add-ons by selecting out add-ons you can add a lot of different stuff including MISERY itself to the entire sand-box.(I checked and there is a misery addon.) If you don't want misery and just want a lot of new guns thats a option with arsenal overhaul.
The options are pretty varied for what you can stick in there.(there are a lot of addons it is best to look through and find ones you like yourself.). 1.4.15 is out. Patch notes. Also: escort missions can go screw themselves.I was buying some ammo at the Skadovsk and decided to see if anyone was hiring. A loner sold me some sob story about a buddy who had been taken hostage by bandits, and - curse my bleeding heart - I took the job.
The bandits had holed up in the Outskirts, and I took them out before they could even notice me. The 6x scope on my SVD is a godsend. I untied the punk, gave him an AK I had looted of a soldier, and told him to come with me if he wanted to live. Then came the nightmare: getting him back to Zaton.I quickly discovered that my new friend had the survival instincts of a retarded puppy, and had to make him sit out every firefight we came upon lest he throw himself into the fray. (And who the fuck runs out of a cellar to fight zombies during an emission?
If his handle isn't Deathwish, I'll eat my hat.) Then came the psy-storm. And the emission. And the controllers. And the bloodsuckers and blink dogs and psuedogiants. And the second emission. Then there was the clusterfuck we came upon as we entered Jupiter: a free for all between Monolith, the Mercs, a dozen zombies, and two controllers.
By the time I had put them all to rest the ground was a carpet of bodies, and then the bandits showed up. We walked away from 40 corpses. (The silver lining of this mess was that I was able to loot so much ammo I couldn't walk. Between selling off the rounds I don't use and the mutant parts, I made a cool 170000 rubles.)Inertia was the only thing that kept me moving when we finally reached Zaton. I had been up for 30 hours and put close to 1000 rounds through my rifle at that point, but I'd invested too much time and energy in this chucklefuck to let him kill himself before we reached the boat. We trekked on through the night and the fog.
We ran from bloodsuckers and cats. We put down more Monolith goons. And then, finally, that old rusted hulk was visible through the mist. I might as well have found the gates of paradise, with the relief I felt at that sight. My reward?
2000 rubles.I stared at the stalker blankly for a moment and considered the swath of carnage I had torn to reunite these friends. I'd killed 78 people in the last 27 hours.
I had to sharpen my knife a dozen times to keep up with the number of mutants I had dressed. I was going to have a dozen new scars from self-surgery. I had to kill a bloodsucker with a knife after I ran out of ammo when surrounded. I was fucking done.I put the bills back in his hand, closed his fingers, and walked away, shaking my head.I wonder how things are going in the Cordon? Feels like years since I've seen the rookie village.
Better check the local anomalies after that emission, now that I think on it.Such is life in the Zone. There are three official weapons addons for CoC at this time. The descriptions given are not especially useful if you aren't already familiar with them on some level. The short version: Original Weapons Renewal reworks the animations and models for the guns, replaces the sound effects, and is otherwise pretty vanilla. AO3 and STCoP both add 30 or 40 guns, change the models and animations, reworks the damage of each gun, and change the economy. So: if you want Vanilla+, use OWR.If you want new guns, more scopes, and new attachments, STCoP has a better damage model, a better economy, and superior weapon descriptions when compared to AO3. (AO3 makes everyone far to spongy for my liking.

Go, look at the last post on the page, and grab the xml file.
Replace the one in your gamedata folder.Rainford, the one responsible for Call of Misery, is working on an update that should drop in a few days. You might want to wait a bit. God, the first Psi-Lab was a glorious nightmare in Call of Misery. I stayed in Cordon until I could get some pretty tough equipment, so I went there with a Saiga and a F2000, but damn, the psi attacks all over the place, my lack of health kits and the need to eat and weapon maintenance. Then the final 'surprise' of this level. I had almost no ammunition left when this was all said and done.

Thing is, however, I found my one and only artifact of the entire game thus far on said surprise, a Gravi. I haven't found any artifact (I have a Tier 2 detector) anywere else. Is that normal? I know this is for Call of Chernobyl, but I just got the main games and figure it'd be better to ask here than make a new thread.Basically, looking to play Shadow of Chernobyl for the first time, and I'm wondering if anyone had any suggestions for mods. I know it's generally suggested to play close to vanilla first time through. But I don't have time to play games multiple times through these days, and I'd rather get the best experience I can right off the bat.
Not looking for things that make the game super difficult or where 'realism' means dying instantly to an AK round when wearing military body armor, but general gameplay enhancers (AI enhancement, better gear balance, whatever), bug fixes, additional quest lines, ect. It's visually less impressive than AA2, makes your character a Kenyan sprinter, and does strange things to the damage model and enemy AI, among other things.A word on difficulty: at higher levels the damage done by weapons increases for both sides. You can take less hits, but you can also put down others with a few well placed shots. As for how difficult you might find the game as a whole, I really can't speak on that without knowing your skills. Personally, once I adjusted to Stalker not being a run-and-gun FPS, I found it only moderately difficult in some areas. I would avoid Complete.
