Hello guys! After few years I back to Battlefield 2 and I would like to check some mods (mainly for new weapons). AIX2 seems awesome, but I can't even start game / server.

Pack

Ie, 'game' as 'application' starts, but when I'm trying to start server, Battlefield crashes immediately. Without any message, error or something, just like 'quit to desktop'.I'm asking here because today there is lack of informations about AIX troubleshooting and official site is down. I can't find solutions over internet, and there is no readme or manual file:( Maybe just I'm starting AIX in wrong way? What could I do to fix this issue?I have very poor internet connection (big house for students rent, 10MB net for 22 persons; slow transmission is one thing, but frequent disconnectes really bothers me) so I can't just download different patches / mod files for checking different cases.I have version from moddb but I found recently which hosts few additional files (Battlefield 2: AIX 2.0 - Patch 920MB)I have old, standalone release of BF. Version 1.0 so I can check thing both 1.41 patch and 1.5.' Clean', unmodded game works like a charm. So, have you guys some advices?Best regards, Vededit: Specification:Intel i5-6500 Skylake 3,2ghzAMD Radeon R380X 4GB8gb ramWindows 10.

For clarification, my installation steps from top to bottom are:. Installing Battlefield 2 1.0.

Installing patch 1.41. Installing patch 1.5. Installing AIX2.0COREMOD.

Installing AIX2.0COREMAPSI tried MiniMODv0.41 already, nothing changed. Do you have idea what is that (mentioned in main post) which is bigger than COREMOD? It doesn't exist on (currently official?) moddb site. How should I start modded game? Just clicking on AIX icon, or first I have to do something in BF2SPCC?

I tried to set up it, but without effects. Maybe I done something wrong due to lack of instructions.I found but it is for only coop issues.edit: PC specification added to first post. (is it really illegal if you bought a legal copy of the game?)I is matter of the law of the specific state / country. In Poland downloading games via torrent due to uplod rates what is interpreted as distribution of pirate copy of game. And this is illegal.I meant run vanilla BF2 after each install/patch.Vanilla BF2 works good in every version, 1.0, 1.41, 1.5.

Do you mean procedure like 'Install vanilla 1.0, run it, then update to 1.41, run it, then update to 1.5, run it, THEN install AIX 2.0'? I didn't try.Wait a second are you still installing of CD?Sort of. I made backup copy (iso) what is legal, but I still have CD and box:)edit:Also AIX 2.0 is meant for BF2 1.5 patch?Really?

On moddb site is link for hotfix for BF2 1.5 because 'this version breaks compatibility between BF2 and AIX', so AIX seems be supposed for using with previous version. Yes I meant install then run each time.If you are installing off CD (ISO is same thing) and you still have the CD key, box and CD them ask Origin support to add BF2 to your library. I had to do the same since I have a physical copy of the game and they were very good about it. Also if you do that then you will always have BF2 1.5I have installed AIX 2 and its Minimod (Which is FANTASTIC might I add) and each time the process was:.Install BF2 1.5 and run the game.Install AIX 2.0 Core.Install AIX 2.0 Map pack and run the mod.Install AIX Minimod then run.

I read about this fix, but it is for 1.5 so it is supposed that 1.41 no need this. Unfortunately, I tried run AIX mod under Battlefield patched to version 1.41 instead of 1.5 and it still crashes. Anyway, I would try this fix.But I would ask about instructions. How should I start AIX, precisely? I used to just run AIX and start singleplayer game. I tried set ut BF2SPCC but I'm not sure what is supposedto do in this program, and lack of readme / manual doesn't help. So is very probably that I screw something (if BF2SPCC is need for playing AIX).

Do I need to make BF2 server to play AIX2 single player?.
